What is NLP? (Neuro Linguistic Programming)
Most of us have objectives, dreams, and goals we have put aside, struggled with for years, or are just plain stumped by when it comes to making them happen. And to make things worse, we commit the cardinal sin: Do more of the same and expect a different result. Even while we are laughing about the insanity of it! But action feels better than inaction, and we don't have better choices. We aren't aware of how automated our choices really are.
NLP is the science of modelling excellence and change in human behaviour.
Developed by research in the 1970's of people who made consistent and remarkable changes easily and quickly, it has grown to become a staple in the core curriculum at businesses including IBM, HP, US government agencies and universities across the world.
NLP takes you out of the doom loop "What I have always known and done is no longer getting me what I want."
NLP Comprehensive teaches high quality tools and programs that help people learn and apply NLP to make change work.
How Is NLP Different?
Consider these two questions:
1) Can you explain to someone WHAT limits you from having what you want, and what you think will fix it?
2) Can you reliably perform the exact behaviours of HOW to overcome those limits, forever?
This is the "WHAT" versus "HOW".
This is the difference between traditional self-help and NLP.
People often know "what" is wrong and "what" will fix it. They often don't know precisely "how" to implement the change.
Think about the analogy of "coding" in software.
The "behaviour" of the computer is based on how it was coded, as well as how the coding from different software programs interact with the hardware. If there are conflicts within the code, the "behaviour" will repeat itself reliably, even when the "behaviours" aren't getting the desired result. A person, who knows how to find the source of the conflict, can instantly help the computer change its "behaviour".
Which may be enough to solve its problem forever … or at least until the next conflict arises.
Which may be enough to solve its problem forever … or at least until the next conflict arises.
Human beings are obviously more complex than a computer. But what about those behaviours you haven't been able to change, in yourself and others? Even when you can see that they're not working? Have you found the pathway to the "coding" where they originated?
By tapping that, changes occur more naturally and easily.
By tapping that, changes occur more naturally and easily.
This is the fundamental paradigm of NLP. It differs from the fields of psychology, behaviourism, or motivation. These traditional approaches to human change are equivalent to convincing the "computer" to change by talking about the code or developing workarounds.
These methods can work, but they often take a long time and do not produce a sustainable result.
NLP provides a set of tools and skills to help you naturally and gracefully make lasting change in several specific ways:
· Identify and remove hidden or unconscious "road blocks" that derail personal and professional goals.
· Make changes in daily habits a "piece of cake" instead of a struggle.
· Easily notice, understand, and respond to what motivates other people.
· Create a "magnetic" field in which people are drawn to you and your ideas.
· Become irresistibly persuasive, especially with people who have been difficult or unmoved in the past.
· See and melt people's resistance to change.
· Clearly identify what you really want, versus what you say you want.
· Speed up and improve the quality of decision making.
· Coach and support others to do all of this in their lives

NLP is a process oriented psychology which deals with the ‘how’ (methodology) of any given situation and the ‘why’ (outcome) and is not concerned so much with the ‘what’ (content) and the ‘why’ (excuses for not doing anything) the last two having no bearing on the problem.
From the world's leading hypnotist and NLP's co-creator Richard Bandler.
“An attitude of insatiable curiosity about human beings with a methodology that leaves behind it a trail of techniques.” – Richard Bandler (co-founder of NLP)
